Valentine’s Day Decadence in 15 min: Coconut-scented dark chocolate strawberries

Cutting it down to the wire to find something for your Valentine? Try this quick and easy recipe for coconut-scented chocolate covered strawberries and impress your sweetheart.

What you will need:

  • Dark chocolate, I used Trader Joe’s 72%, about 100g or 6 squares
  • Coconut oil, 1-2 tbsp, depending on how coconut-y you would like it
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Parchment paper
  • Cookie sheet

What to do:

  • Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • Wash and dry strawberries (you want them to be completely dry so that the chocolate sticks)

  • Melt chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler, stir to combine well

  • Dip strawberries in hot coconut/chocolate mixture, hold by stem

After…

  • Place on parchment and stick in fridge for fast drying
  • Test 1 (or 2) to be sure it tastes nice
  • Present to your sweetheart
  • Enjoy the adoration and praise
